To wrap up our color theory unit, all the art students got to celebrate with “edible color wheels!” They were given cups of red, yellow, and blue frosting. They mixed all nine colors and frosted vanilla wafers to make a color wheel that could be smelled, touched and tasted. It was a multi-sensory approach that the kids responded really well to (of course-it involves eating). I’m impressed with the quality of color they were able to achieve with the frosting!
