The sixth graders are finishing up their clay masks. They are currently drying out and will be ready to fire in the next week or two! I’m happy with the way their masks turned out. I like this project for sixth graders because it’s one they can create on their own with the right teaching and guidance. Once they have all the information, they can go on their own and create a mask that is truly and completely their own. Which is a wonderful thing for an art teacher, for so many reasons 🙂
